It is with our deepest regret that the 2014 Tinfoilman Triathlon has been cancelled. As many of you know, the Modern Streetcar necessitated a new bike course if the Tucson Triathlon Series races were to continue. Working with the City of Tucson, a new bike course was recently approved but it has been determined that it is not feasible due to safety concerns, traffic issues, and insurmountable extra costs related to the course.
For those of you unfamiliar with TriTucson’s history, this is our 21st year producing multi-sport events and the 2014 Tinfoilman would have been the 60th Tucson Triathlon Series race. This was not an easy decision. We are unsure what the future holds for our series.
The final race of the series, the Holualoa Tinfoilman Triathlon. The distances are 750 meter serpentine style pool swim, 12 mile bike ride around the UA area, and 3 mile run through UA campus.
USA Triathlon rules apply. Other rules and updated course info will be in your packet.
